Dining at the Shiv Niwas Palace is as much about the venue as it is about the food. The Paantya restaurant is a grand dining room, its decor is representative of an age of when time stood still and detail meant everything. When service was an art form and it mattered that the tables at which one dined were dressed in the finest linens, the antique silvery cutlery was beautifully laid out, crystal glass goblets, sherry glass and tumblers each having their place.
Fresh flowers, linen napkins caught in silver twists and silver candlesticks completing the setting for the delicious meal to follow. These fine tables lye below high ceilings dripping with chandeliers, the reflections of light caught in the ornate mirrors on the walls, the arched windows framing magnificent views of the lakes.
